The Study Room Cafe CIC is a café with a classroom. We serve food to the public but also use the space to support the community in various ways. We offer educational services and support people finding work, getting into education and setting up businesses.

Product or Service

• Maths tuition, 1:1’s for an hour or Mini 1:1’s which last 20 minutes, both in the classroom and online

• Maths and English groups during term time, lessons are booked in blocks of 6 weeks

• Maths GCSE Mock Experience. Mock exams are marked by an examiner and the student has a follow up lesson addressing their misconceptions

• Employment support. Participants get free support looking for work, with starting a business or getting into education. This is funded by The European Social Fund.

•  Art sessions for children in school holidays

• The café sells a selection of hot and cold food and drinks and freshly made cakes

• We sell donated books to raise money for local charities (educational and fictional)

• We offer a free service to elderly customers, helping them to use ICT

Our mission is to help people better themselves and get as much out of life as they possibly can. We try to adjust to the times and adapt to needs of the community where possible.
